NALP Director of Public Service Initiatives
Steve, the PSLawNet Blog’s editor, is the Director of Public Service Initiatives at NALP. He focuses on recruitment, retention, and professional development issues affecting public interest and public sector attorneys, as well as on aiding law students who pursue public interest careers. Before joining NALP, Steve worked as an attorney with the Philadelphia LawWorks project, a community economic development initiative sponsored by the Philadelphia Bar Association. Steve is active in the American Bar Association, the National Legal Aid & Defender Association, and is a past president of the Washington Council of Lawyers, the District of Columbia’s voluntary public interest bar association. PSLawNet Fellow
Kristen, a frequent PSLawNet Blog contributor, is the PSLawNet Fellow at NALP. She is a proud double Gator, with a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, as well as degrees in public relations, communication studies and criminology. Kristen has a great passion for all things public interest law-related — she has worked at many of the civil rights and equal justice organizations in Florida, including the ACLU of Florida, Florida Justice Institute and Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc.
